The T6 Difference
United Spas' newest topside control uses electronics mounted behind the solid plastic of the topside's face to sense the presence of a human finger and activate the options of the topside accordingly, similar to the technology found in today's touch-screen cell phones. The topside looks no different from then the current T5 model, the difference lies is that there are no moving parts whatsoever. The plastic overlay with the printed graphic representation of the button areas is adhered directly to the solid plastic face of the topside, rather than to a switching system (membrane or otherwise) that has moving parts. Moving parts and physical switches mean holes in the plastic for moisture to ultimately find its way through, and are prone to failure in the harsh environment under a spa cover
